Избрани активни галактични ядра и звезди от Местната група – астрофизика във времевия домейн
Финансиращ орган – Фонд „Научни изследвания“ към Министерството на образованието и науката (договор ДН18/10-11.12.2017 г.)
Проектът включва изследване на ярки и силно променливи обекти, като активни галактични ядра, нови и ярки сини променливи (LBV) звезди. Реализирането на тези изследвания ще стане главно чрез иновативни подходи и методи, като например:
1) изследване на активни галактични ядра (АГЯ), в частност отражателна картография чрез широкоивични стандартни и нестандартни средноивични филтри. Подобна задача ще бъде извършена за пръв път в световен мащаб и резултатите от нея ще бъдат приложими и към голям брой проблеми от други области на астрофизиката, като теория на гравитацията и космология;
2) изследване на ярки сини променливи (LBV) звезди чрез метода на структурните функции;
3) изследване на нови в галактиката М31 чрез BVR и H-alpha криви на блясъка;
4) използване на получените за основните цели на проектното предложение кадри и за вторични задачи, като например – търсене на променливи и астероиди, изследване на променливост на АГЯ и други съвременни задачи;
5) изследване на други актуални силно променливи обекти чрез иновативни методи, като например – фото-поляриметрия на АГЯ.
Съществена част в подхода за постигане на изброените изследователски цели ще бъде реализирането на изцяло дистанционно управляема професионална наблюдателна система. Част от работната програма включва и допълнителни дейности, като сътрудничество с други научни групи, популяризиране на получените резултати – не само пред научната общност като цяло, но и пред гражданското общество и представители на бизнеса и индустрията, с оглед на потенциален трансфер и пренос на резултатите.
